Dua For Wudu | Dua For Wudu in English Urdu |
There exist two categories of cleanliness and purification: the first pertains to the purification of one’s mind, while the second concerns the purification of one’s body. It is obligatory to perform Wudu before offering prayers. To enhance the effectiveness of your Wudu, you can recite certain supplications (Duas) that were used by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). These two supplications are likely already familiar to you. While reciting this Dua is not mandatory, it is recommended as it follows the tradition (sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). |
Hadrat Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA) reported that he had heard Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) say that whoever performs Wudu and concludes it by reciting the declaration of faith, “I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah Alone, He has no partners; and I bear witness that Muhammad is his Messenger,” will have all eight gates of Paradise opened for them, allowing them to choose through which they will enter. |
The Dua before beginning wudu is just reciting bismillah along with having the right intention which is to perform the wudu for Allah. |
Dua After Wudu |
Ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ‘ash-hadu ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu. |
Benefits and Why You Should Recite This Dua |
Performing ablution or Wudhu is mandatory before offering any prayer, be it obligatory or sunnah.
